Von Koch patterns created from a Flash-based generator I built a couple three years back. Figure 1 illustrates the basic pattern. From this, you recreate the pattern, orienting it to each segment of the base. Do this over and over. Soon the base pattern emerges again in macroscopic form (Figure 2). This is the essence of fractal geometry and recursive pattern generation.
